Learning about Islam

Each year group studied a different aspect of Islam and we came together to consolidate our learning with a special visitor - Imran.  He worked across school allowing all children to gain a deeper understanding of another faith.
He worked closely with children in Key Stage Two talking about The Five Pillars of Islam specifically Hajj and Sawm. He spoke to us about the Qur'an and the Mosque.

We received the diocesan anchor from St Patrick's Catholic Primary School. Our school GIFT team joined their GIFT team for a special reflection.

As part of the Jubilee year, the large anchors are travelling around all the schools within the Salford Diocese as a symbol of hope.

In school, the anchor encouraged us to take part in a day of reflection where we considered what we are hopeful for in the future of our world and how we can work together for the Common Good of others.

We passed the anchor to St Mary & St Benedict's Catholic Primary School to continue its journey.
