Extra-Curricular Activities and Clubs

PE, School Sport and Physical Activity (PESSPA) is a vital part of school life and at Our Lady & St Gerard’s, we always promote the importance of healthy lifestyles and being active. By providing a variety of after school clubs, inter and intra-tournaments and a varied PE Curriculum, it encourages our children to participate in at least 60 minutes of daily physical activity - an essential part of their development. As well as sports, we offer a variety of creative clubs and activities within the arts as we endeavour to cater for all our children.

The activities available for this school year can be seen below (this is a working document and will be added to over the school year). As a school, our staff deliver high-quality extra-curricular provision for our children but we also welcome professional sports coaches in to our school to give the children the best opportunities possible. If you would like more information about any of the clubs and activities, please contact the school office or contact Mr S. Moat (Extra-Curricular Activities Leader) who would be happy to help.

Through the hard work and dedication of our staff and the participation of our children, we have achieved GOLD AWARD in the Sports Games MARK this year - the first time our school has achieved so highly - we are extremely proud of our dedicated team and our children!

Keep your eyes open for additional clubs being organised and encourage your child(ren) to take part. The clubs are always fun and engaging!
