Visit by Chinese Students 2019

In July 2019 a group of children from our link school came to visit us for the week.  During the week the children took part in lessons, learnt how to cook cakes and took part in a visit to Blackpool Tower.  They also visited a host family for a meal and this was the highlight of the visit, for our children and the Chinese children.

'We loved having Jack and Leo over for the evening. We went to Bamber Bridge park with Sam and Katy.

On the way home we called into Morrisons and we picked up some bits for tea. The weather was so good we had a barbecue.

Arlo and the boys loved playing on the trampoline and after tea they had strawberries and ice-cream and played draughts.

The boys' English was very good and they  were a credit to their parents and school with their lovely manners.

Arlo enjoyed showing them his China photos and practicing his Mandarin!!

Thanks for another wonderful cultural exchange opportunity.'

Ghana 2017

In 2017 Mr Kellett led some funding raising for 'Future Leaders UCC in Ghana.   We are delighted to announce that during Lent, through our fundraising activities, we managed to raise a magnificent £500 to support ‘Future Leaders UCC’ in Ghana, the school which we have developed an international link with. Our aim was to raise enough money to provide medical care for the children of Future Leaders UCC for a whole year, as well as feeding the school for a month; we are happy to announce that we have achieved this. Mr Kellett was happy to receive news that the money was received by the children's center and we are delighted that our hard work has made a positive impact on underprivileged children. Thank you to everyone who supported the children in their fundraising efforts; another example of our school community living the Gospel Values and helping those less fortunate than ourselves.

International School Award

We are pleased to announce that we have achieved the foundation level of the international school award. This award recognises the international work that has taken place in school and signifies that we have introduced an international dimension to learning.

Over the past couple of years we have completed a series of projects with different schools, in particular with our partner schools in Ghana and China. During the next year the school aims to achieve the intermediate award before eventually reaching full accreditation.

We have lots of projects planned throughout the school and we aim to provide the children with many more memorable experiences!
