Miss Harvey's visit to China - October 2019
Miss Harvey (Deputy Headteacher) visited China with local colleagues. She visited Beijing and Qinhuangdao to see a range of schools and teaching approaches.

Visit by Chinese Students 2019
In July 2019 a group of children from our link school came to visit us for the week. During the week the children took part in lessons, learnt how to cook cakes and took part in a visit to Blackpool Tower. They also visited a host family for a meal and this was the highlight of the visit, for our children and the Chinese children.
'We loved having Jack and Leo over for the evening. We went to Bamber Bridge park with Sam and Katy.
On the way home we called into Morrisons and we picked up some bits for tea. The weather was so good we had a barbecue.
Arlo and the boys loved playing on the trampoline and after tea they had strawberries and ice-cream and played draughts.
The boys' English was very good and they were a credit to their parents and school with their lovely manners.
Arlo enjoyed showing them his China photos and practicing his Mandarin!!

Visit by School Staff to Qingdao, China May 2018
In May 2018 three of our staff were lucky enough to vist our partner school in Qingdao. As part of the visit our staff developed training to other teachers in Qingdao, they taught lessons and they had the opportunity to observe lessons. This was a fantastic professional development opportunity and we came back to England with new ideas which we can use in our teaching.

Chinese Partnership
In 2015 Mrs McNally visited China as part of the Confucius Programme organised by the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN). The aim of the visit was to develop cultural links between schools. During the visit Mrs McNally had the opportunity to visit a number of schools in Beijing and Qingdao and a partnership agreement was signed with our link school. Our parternship school is No 1 Experimental School, Licang District, Qingdao.
