Welcome to Our Lady and St Gerard's Nursery- where every child’s journey begins with joy. 

At OLGS, children are at the heart of everything we do – and our bespoke curriculum is no exception. Designed to spark curiosity and inspire a lifelong love of learning, our approach nurtures every child’s academic, social, and emotional development.

Through engaging lessons and interactive, play-based experiences, we prepare children for school by building essential skills in a fun and meaningful way. Each child is carefully observed and supported throughout the day, with ongoing assessments helping us plan the next steps in their learning journey.

Our passionate nursery team understands the importance of creating a safe, caring environment where every child feels valued and heard.  At OLGS Nursery, children are encouraged to explore, investigate, and discover through hands-on learning. Our aim is to help every child grow in confidence, develop socially and emotionally, and enjoy a smooth, happy transition to school.

Our main communication will be through ClassDojo. You should have had an email to help you to set up the app and create an account. This will be used to send reminders and celebrate children's achievements. We will also send homework activities and you can contact us through the messaging function. We encourage parents to share celebrations and achievements from home as well as homework tasks. 

At OLSG, we believe the strongest foundations are built in partnership with families. Our EYFS team is committed to creating kind, open, and trusting relationships with parents and carers. We recognise that you are your child’s first and most important teacher, and by working together, we can help your child flourish—academically, socially, and emotionally.

Our School Behaviour Charter

Our school Behaviour Policy is built upon the ‘5 pillars of Pivotal Practice’ (‘When Adults Change, Everything Changes’, Paul Dix):
